Description

Daily process group sketch for 11/17/2014 -- but this one was drawn with a special purpose in mind. My father passed away last weekend. I had been anticipating his passing, but when it happened, it was a complete shock. I'm still in the greiving process, but I wanted to draw something special.

Ever since Sailor Moon first aired in the US back in 1995, my father always had a running joke about the series. He would tell people it was a series about girls that didn't wear any chones (underwear). Even to this day, whenever he saw a picture of Sailor Moon he'd say "It's the no-chones girls!". I used to hate it when he said it, but now looking back, it's one of the things about his humor I will miss the most.

And if accusing the Sailor Senshi of not wearing an panties wasn't enough, every female I drew -- regardless of their size was always met with a "Look at those hooters!" comment. They could be flat as a board and he'd still make a comment about their boobs. Again, another enduring trait of his humor.

I may color this in the distant future, but for now this one is for you, dad. 'Til we meet again.
